(WNY News Now) – On August 1, 2025, Westfield Police arrested Julie A. Buchholz, 54, of Northeast, Pennsylvania, following a DWI investigation near Tops Market on East Main Street.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. on August 1, 2025, officers from the Westfield Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle driving erratically near Tops Market, located at 121 East Main Street, Westfield, NY. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle parked behind the store and initiated an investigation.

Julie A. Buchholz, the driver, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol during the encounter. She refused to comply with requests to take a breath test. During the interaction, Buchholz engaged in disorderly behavior, including pulling her pants down and urinating in public.

She was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Refusal to Take a Breath Test, and Disorderly Conduct. Under New York State Bail Reform laws, Buchholz was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Town of Westfield Court at a later date to answer the charges.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
