(WNY News Now) – GOWANDA, N.Y. – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Williamsville man following a trespassing complaint in Gowanda on Friday, August 15, 2025.
Deputies responded to a report of an individual unlawfully entering private property around 4:45 p.m. Authorities say Stephan A. Washburg, 45, was advised to leave after initially entering the property. According to deputies, Washburg later returned and reentered the premises, leading to his arrest.
Washburg was charged with trespass and subsequently released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Persia Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
