A Fredonia resident was arrested following an investigation into the violation of a court-issued order of protection.

(WNY News Now) – FREDONIA, N.Y. — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division reports that on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, an investigation determined that Jonathan M. Tresler, 36, of Fredonia, had violated a full stay-away order of protection.

Deputies took Tresler into custody on September 19, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m. He was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. Following his arrest, Tresler was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, where he was arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Program (CAP). As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
