(WNY News Now) – A Cherry Creek woman is facing multiple charges after a late-night traffic stop in the Town of Ellicott.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday, September 26, 2025, at approximately 10:49 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Fairmount Avenue. The driver, identified as 58-year-old Christine L. Foringer, was found to be operating her vehicle while intoxicated.

Following an investigation, Foringer was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI per se, and No Stopping/Standing/Parking on Highway.

Authorities said Foringer was processed and later released with an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to answer the charges in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.
