(WNY News Now) – A physical altercation on Buffalo Road in the Town of Hanover led to the arrest of two Irving women, each facing separate charges following an investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

HANOVER, N.Y. — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to a past-tense altercation that occurred on Buffalo Road in the Town of Hanover on October 8, 2025.

According to investigators, the dispute involved 60-year-old Kimberly A. Cook and 29-year-old Kaitlin E. Parker, both residents of Irving, New York. The investigation determined that Parker allegedly struck Cook multiple times during the incident. Parker was subsequently charged with Assault in the Third Degree and released with appearance tickets.

Further investigation revealed that Cook allegedly attempted to strike Parker with a baseball bat during the altercation. Cook was charged with Menacing in the Second Degree and also released with appearance tickets.

Both individuals are scheduled to appear in Town of Hanover Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
