(WNY News Now) – Deputies with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hanover man Friday afternoon after determining he was operating a vehicle without the owner’s permission.

HANOVER, N.Y. — On October 17, 2025, at approximately 1:03 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on Bradley Road in the Town of Hanover. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Adam N. Mox of Hanover, was found to be operating a vehicle without authorization from the registered owner.

Following an investigation, Mox was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle in the third degree, a misdemeanor under New York State law. Deputies issued Mox traffic tickets and transported him to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

The case was forwarded to the Town of Hanover Court for further proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
