(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown man was arrested late Monday night following a reported domestic dispute on the city’s southside.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the Third Platoon responded to a residence around 10:38 p.m. on October 13, 2025, for a domestic incident. Following an investigation, police determined that 40-year-old Matthew C. Hillman had allegedly violated a “Refrain From” Order of Protection by threatening the victim with physical contact.

Hillman was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He was charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree.

He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
