(WNY News Now) – A Dunkirk man faces multiple charges after Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped his vehicle early Saturday morning for traffic violations in Fredonia.
FREDONIA, N.Y. — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies conducted a traffic stop on Temple Road in Fredonia shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, after observing a vehicle performing an unsafe start and operating with a loud exhaust.
Deputies identified the driver as 35-year-old Allan R. Wolfe of Dunkirk. During the investigation, Wolfe was allegedly found to be driving while intoxicated. Following further evaluation, he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Unsafe Start, Loud Exhaust, and Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.
Wolfe was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Substation for processing. He was later released with appearance tickets to answer the charges in Fredonia Village Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
