(WNY News Now) – A Dunkirk resident has been charged following a police investigation into the reported theft of tools last month.
DUNKIRK, N.Y. — The Dunkirk Police Department has charged 40-year-old Sandro Rodriguez of Dunkirk with petit larceny following an investigation into a reported theft incident.
According to police, on October 11, 2025, at approximately 5:07 p.m., officers from the department’s 3–11 patrol shift responded to a city address for a report of stolen tools. The incident was described as a past tense larceny, meaning the theft had already occurred prior to police arrival.
Following a brief investigation, officers identified Rodriguez as the suspect. He was later located on October 26, 2025, and issued an appearance ticket under New York State’s bail reform guidelines for Petit Larceny (Penal Law 155.25).
Rodriguez is scheduled to appear before Hon. John Kuzdale in Dunkirk City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
