(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was arrested Monday morning after police say he caused a disturbance and damaged property at an east side business.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the department’s 1st Platoon responded to a report of a disorderly person at a business on the east side of Jamestown at approximately 7 a.m. on March 9, 2026.
Police said the call involved a man who allegedly threw items at an employee inside the store. Upon arrival, officers determined that Kenneth Walker, 41, of Jamestown, had previously been banned from the business.
Investigators allege that Walker became upset and threw several bananas at an employee, damaging store property during the incident.
Officers later located Walker a short distance from the business. Police said he refused verbal commands and a brief struggle occurred before he was taken into custody.
Walker was transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He has been charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Harassment in the Second Degree, and Resisting Arrest.
He was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
