(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown woman has been charged after police say she violated a court-issued order of protection on the city’s south side Thursday evening.

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded to a residence at approximately 6:30 p.m. on March 26, 2026, for a reported order of protection violation. According to investigators, Alexandrea A. Foster, 25, allegedly went to the home of a protected party and made verbal contact, in violation of a valid stay-away order.

Police said Foster was later located at a nearby location shortly after the incident. She was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Foster has been charged with one count of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. She was subsequently processed and released with an appearance ticket.

She is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date to answer the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
