(WNY News Now) – LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. — A 59-year-old woman was issued an appearance ticket following a reported harassment incident in the Town of Little Valley on March 28, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies report that Sarah M. Oxley, 59, of Court Street in Little Valley, was arrested at approximately 1:09 p.m. after responding to a complaint of harassment.

Following an investigation, authorities allege that Oxley caused unreasonable annoyance and alarm to another individual who had a valid order of protection against her. As a result, she was charged with Harassment in the Second Degree and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.

Oxley was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was later released with an appearance ticket.

She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Little Valley Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
