(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Two Jamestown residents were taken into custody after police responded to a trespass complaint at a condemned property on the city’s east side.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 1st Platoon were dispatched to an address on the east side of Jamestown at approximately 11:45 a.m. on April 4, 2026, for a reported trespass.
Upon arrival, officers located Michael S. Cook, 52, and Ashley M. Stingel, 34, both residents of Jamestown, inside a residence that had been condemned.
Police reported that both individuals were taken into custody without incident. Cook and Stingel were transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where they were each charged with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree.
Both are scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
