(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was taken into custody early Wednesday morning following a reported domestic dispute on the city’s west side, according to police.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded to the incident at approximately 12:30 a.m. on April 8. Following an investigation, authorities allege that 29-year-old Jesse J. Young assaulted another individual and obstructed that person’s breathing during the altercation.
Police also report that a child was present during the incident and that the situation resulted in the child’s welfare being endangered.
Young was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He has been charged with Assault in the Third Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
He was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
