HANOVER, N.Y. — A 26-year-old woman was arrested following an altercation in the Town of Hanover after deputies say she displayed an electronic stun gun during the incident, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday, April 9, 2026, at approximately 7:26 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol was dispatched to a report of an altercation in the Town of Hanover.
Following an investigation at the scene, deputies determined that the suspect, identified as Allyson K. Lycett, 26, allegedly displayed an electric stun gun during the dispute. Law enforcement officials reported that Lycett was subsequently found in possession of the device.
As a result, Lycett was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree under New York Penal Law § 265.01(1). Authorities said she was issued an appearance ticket in connection with the charge.
Lycett is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date and time to respond to the allegation. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
