(WNY News Now) – A 58-year-old Ashville resident was charged with driving while intoxicated after deputies responded to a trespassing complaint in the Town of Harmony late Thursday night.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were called to a trespassing incident in the Town of Harmony at approximately 10:38 p.m. on April 9, 2026.

Following an investigation, deputies identified Scott Sarver, 58, of Ashville, as a suspect. Authorities allege that Sarver was operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Sarver was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and driving while intoxicated per se.

After processing, Sarver was released with Uniform Traffic Tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Harmony Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
