(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man was taken into custody July 2 after police said he violated an active Order of Protection at a west side residence.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Officers with the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon responded to a report of a suspicious situation at a west side address at approximately 1:45 p.m. on July 2, 2026.
Following an investigation, officers determined that Luis A. Ruiz, 39, of Jamestown, was allegedly violating an active Order of Protection that required him to stay away from a female protected by the order who was present at the scene.
