(WNY News Now) – An 18-year-old Jamestown resident faces multiple charges after Town of Ellicott police investigated a reported domestic dispute that led to an alleged impaired driving incident early Saturday morning.

The Town of Ellicott Police Department reported that Bryce C. Simon, 18, of Jamestown, was charged following a domestic dispute and driving while intoxicated investigation on July 25, 2026.

According to police, officers responded to a domestic dispute in progress at approximately 6:32 a.m. During the investigation, authorities allege Simon became involved in a verbal argument with the victim before driving away with the victim still inside the vehicle while intoxicated.

Police said Simon allegedly stopped the vehicle in the middle of the roadway, exited, and walked away from the scene. Officers later located him nearby and, following an investigation, determined he was under the influence of alcohol.

Authorities also allege Simon was found in possession of two forged New York State driver’s licenses.

Simon was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, driving while intoxicated under New York’s Under 21 Zero Tolerance law, and multiple traffic violations.

He was processed and released with traffic tickets and an appearance ticket. Simon is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charges.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
