(WNY News Now) – A 42-year-old Little Valley resident faces multiple charges after a traffic stop in Salamanca led deputies to investigate suspected impaired driving on July 24.

SALAMANCA, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported that Kasey E. Brown, 42, of Little Valley, was arrested at approximately 7:18 p.m. on July 24, 2026, following a traffic stop on Broad Street in the City of Salamanca.

According to deputies assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory, the vehicle was stopped for an alleged traffic violation. During the investigation, deputies determined Brown was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Brown was taken into custody and transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

Authorities charged Brown with first-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Driving While Intoxicated, Unlicensed Operator, Consuming an Alcoholic Beverage While Operating a Motor Vehicle, and Refusal to Take a Breath Test.

Following processing, Brown was released with an appearance ticket and multiple uniform traffic tickets. Brown is scheduled to appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date to answer the charges.

All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
