(WNY News Now) – An 18-year-old Coldspring resident was charged following a reported domestic incident on August 3, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies and New York State Police responded to a reported domestic incident at a residence on North Loop Road in the Town of Coldspring at approximately 1:58 p.m. on August 3, 2026.

Following an investigation, deputies charged David U. Kennedy, 18, of Coldspring, with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment.

Kennedy was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing and later arraigned in Salamanca Town Court. He was released on his own recognizance, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The case remains subject to court proceedings. An arrest is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
