(WNY News Now) – A 41-year-old Falconer woman was charged with second-degree criminal contempt after Jamestown police said she was found inside a residence where a stay-away order of protection was in effect.

Jamestown police officers responded to a residence on the city’s west side at about 2:06 a.m. Sept. 7 for a reported violation of an order of protection.

According to police, officers located Jasmine N. Calloway, 41, of Falconer, inside the victim’s residence.

Police said a valid stay-away order of protection prohibited Calloway from being near the victim and the residence.

Calloway was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

Calloway was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.

The charge is an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
