(WNY News Now) – A 43-year-old Jamestown man was taken into custody Friday after police reported finding him inside a residence with a person protected by a stay-away order of protection.

Jamestown Police responded to an East Side residence at about 3:52 p.m. September 11 for an unwanted person complaint.

According to police, officers found William C. Leamer, 43, of Jamestown, inside the residence while another individual who is protected by a stay-away order of protection was also present.

Leamer was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident, police said.

He was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The charge is an allegation, and Leamer is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
