Vets Finding Vets To Host Special Brown Bag Lecture At Fenton History Center

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Vets Finding Vets program is scheduled to host a special brown bag lecture Wednesday at the Fenton History Center featuring two U.S. Army Vets who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Beverly and Stephen Leonhardt will share their experiences while serving in the middle east.

Beverly Leonhardt deployed to Iraq and was one of two women to accompany the Advanced Party Convoy from Kuwait into Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom


Meanwhile, Stephen Leonhardt deployed to Afghanistan with Task Force Rakkasan as a company fire support officer. In early 2003, he again deployed with the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) for Operation Iraqi Freedom and was part of the initial invasion.

The two met at Fort Campbell, shortly before the division deployed to Kuwait for Operation Iraqi Freedom, and married December, 2006. They currently live in Russell, PA with their dog Ember.

The lecture will take place at the center from noon until 1 p.m., those in attendance are invited to bring a lunch.
