HARMONY – A 56-year-old woman drowned after the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said she crashed her car into a pond at a residence on Hoag Road in the Town of Harmony late Saturday.
Deputies said the Chautauqua County Water Emergency Team responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m.
Following a search of the pond deputies said divers found a vehicle submerged in the water.
Inside the vehicle deputies reportedly found a deceased 56-year-old female.
The vehicle and victim were removed from the scene.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said they are continuing to investigate the incident.
