Forestville Man Charged In Burglary Spree

MAYVILLE – A Forestville man is facing several charges following an alleged burglary spree in the Towns of Ripley, Pomfret and Gerry between November and December 2019.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says Gary Lang, 51, allegedly enter two separate dwellings at night while residents were asleep inside and stole property.

Lang also allegedly sole property from several unlocked vehicles during the time period.











Last week, deputies say Lang was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, five counts of petit larceny, trespass and third-degree criminal tampering.

Lang is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds residents to lock their homes and vehicles in order to deter crime.
