ELLICOTT – A City of Jamestown woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing a “large sum of money” from two business accounts and one-personal account over a year’s time.

Town of Ellicott Police say Donna Spencer, 57, allegedly forged numerous checks for varying amounts from 2018 to 2019.

Spencer is charged with petit larceny, six counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, nine counts of third-degree grand larceny and sixteen counts of second-degree forgery.

Police say Spencer was arrested and later issues an appearance ticket for the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.

In 2014, Spencer was sentenced for accepting cash payments for the purchase of postage stamps, and keeping the money for herself while serving as a Postmaster in Frewsburg.
