DUNKIRK — Two Buffalo residents face various felony charges following a traffic stop on I-90 in the Town of Dunkirk by New York State Police.
Malik A. Johnson,22, and passenger Markiya A. Foster, 19, both of Buffalo were stopped at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Troopers.
While interviewing Johnson, Troopers said it was discovered the vehicle, a 2015 Kia sedan, was reported stolen out of the Town of Cheektowaga. Troopers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and its occupants. Troopers allegedly found approximately 7.34 grams of crack, more than one gram of heroin, a zanax bar, and a digital scale.
The pair were taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Dunkirk where they were charged with third-degree felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree felony criminal possession of stolen property and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Johnson and Foster were held at the Chautauqua County Jail pending an arraignment.
