New COVID-19 Deaths, Additional Cases Reported In Chautauqua County

MAYVILLE – Four new COVID-19 deaths and 42 additional cases were reported in Chautauqua County on Tuesday afternoon.

The county Health Department’s COVID-19 Dashboard indicates the deaths involved an 80-year-old and two people above the age of 90. The fourth person’s age is unknown.







There have been 111 fatalities linked to the virus in the county since the pandemic began.

The number of active cases decreased on Tuesday, down from 401 to 364.







However, the number of hospitalizations increased from 35 to 39.

The seven-day average percent positivity rate also increased slightly to 5.9 percent from the day before.













To date, there have been 6,785 COVID-19 cases reported countywide with 6,310 people recovering.
