JAMESTOWN – In an attempt to identify the suspect in Tuesday afternoon’s shots fired incident in Jamestown, the Jamestown Department Police has released surveillance video from the scene.

The clip, posted to the department’s Facebook page, shows a subject wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, walk down Chandler from Center Streets and fire three shots at a silver-colored SUV.

Investigators say they have found several pieces of evidence from the scene, and are now forwarding the material to a forensic lab for further review.

Jamestown Police responded to the area around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday for a report of multiple shots fired.

Upon arrival officers located the SUV that had been struck with at least one bullet. Officers report the occupants of the vehicle were not injured.
