MAYVILLE – A City of Jamestown man was sentenced to serve two to seven years behind bars connected to a May burglary.

The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office announced 43-year-old David Hanley was sentenced in county court on Monday.

Hanley was arrested back on May 13 after Jamestown Police responded to a report of breaking glass near the Hampton Inn on North Main Street.

At the time police said they discovered a broken window and an unlocked door in a residence nearby. Following a further investigation, officers found Hanley inside.

He plead guilty to third-degree burglary in July 29.
