ELLERY – A 35-year-old Gerry woman is in police custody following a Christmas Day vehicle pursuit in Chautauqua County.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says Amanda Sendall was spotted by deputies investigating several storage facility break-ins across the county at a storage lock-up on Dutch Hollow Road in Ellery Center.

Sendall, police say, noticed the police vehicle and then fled. When deputies tried to stop her, a pursuit ensued. Sendall eventually pulled over on Salisbury Road.

She was found to have several arrest warrants from police agencies in New York and Ohio.

In addition, deputies allege Sendall had bolt-cutters, a saw, and other tools used for forced entry.

She is charged with possession of burglar’s tools, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and failure to comply with lawful police order.
