FALCONER – The first of several high school graduations kicked off Thursday night in the Jamestown area.

Falconer Central School held their 74th Annual Commencement for the class of 2022 at Bill Race Field.

This year’s Valedictorian and Salutatorian are Joseph Krenzer and Hannah Cross.

Before graduates walked across the stage to receive their diploma, they heard from the night’s commencement speaker: Randall Shenefiel.

The class of 1992 grad, and now New York State Trooper, reflected on his life experiences which has brought him around the world during his service in the U.S. Military.

One point Trooper Shenefiel was sure to highlight was the connection to the halls of Falconer High School.

“Experience everything that you can, but remember, say thank you to those who built your foundation, and to those that helped you along the way,” said Shenefiel. “Don’t wait 30-years to do it, because sometimes, time won’t let you.”

On Friday night, Jamestown Public Schools, Frewsburg Central School and Southwestern Central School are also hosting their Commencement Ceremonies.
