National Youth Baseball Tournament Returning To Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A national youth baseball tournament is returning to Jamestown.

It was announced on Monday the Babe Ruth World Series will return to the area next year.

Youth from across the nation ranging from 13 to 15-years-old will compete at Russell E. Diethrick Jr. Park from August 12 through August 19, 2023.

This is the 19th time the world series will be held in Jamestown since 1980.

In Summer 2021, the area was formally recognized for their decades long history supporting the sport.

Jamestown is among 200 individuals and organizations who have been inducted into the Babe Ruth League International Hall of Fame.
