ERIE, Pa. (Erie News Now) – Over the years, we’ve heard about lots of studies on the positive and negative effects of our daily cup of coffee.

There’s a new one out with an interesting twist, it focuses on the health benefits of different types of coffee, and different preparation methods.

The results of the study just came out in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.

They said the results showed 3-5 cups of black coffee a day significantly reduced the risk of coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure and strokes.

That includes regular ground, instant and decaf coffee.

Additionally, brewed coffee also has less oil in it than French Press or Turkish, making it a slightly healthier option.
