WARREN, Pa. (Erie News Now) — The Warren County Commissioners are seeking consulting services to receive proposals from qualified firms to assist with the expansion, construction, and deployment of broadband services to the County.

The goal is to expand service to areas of the County that do not have access to the internet, or whose connection is currently insufficient to carry out everyday tasks.

The commissioners said with the allocation of American Rescue Plan funding as well as numerous grant funding pots at the Federal and State levels for broadband expansion, t he need for the county government to have qualified counsel is critical as the broadband landscape is complex.

The deadline for consultants submitting proposals will be January 23rd. The County will announce the decision on the agency that will be hired on or before February 8th.
