WARREN, Pa. (Erie News Now) — Police are warning the public about counterfeit drugs containing suspected fentanyl following two fatal overdoses in Warren County in the past week, according to City of Warren Police Chief Joseph Sproveri.

The pills are small, blue in color and stamped with the marking “M30.” Police said they are being illegally manufactured and pressed into pills.

These pills are extremely dangerous and are suspected to be the cause of at least two fatal overdoses, according to police.

Anyone who comes across similar pills is asked not to touch them and immediately call local police.

The police department is assisting with the investigation into the manufacturing and distribution of the pills, Sproveri said.
