Two Stabbings Reported Within Hours Of Each Other On Jamestown’s Southside

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – Two stabbings were reported just hours apart on Wednesday on Jamestown’s southside.

The Jamestown Police Department was first dispatched to the area of Park and Linden Streets around 2:30 p.m. for the first reported attack.

In the hours that followed, officers responded to the area three additional times to break up an altercation between a group of juveniles and residents living at 19 Park Street.

One of the altercations was caught on video by WNY News Now crews while reporting on the first police call. Because minors are involved, we are withholding publication pending review.

Around three hours later at 5 p.m. police returned to the scene for a male victim that was stabbed with multiple lacerations to the back. Jamestown Fire, EMS, and Alstar EMS all responded.

The victim has since been taken to UPMC Hamot via medical helicopter.

While an investigation by Jamestown Police continues, officers tell WNY News Now that a mob of juveniles are suspected.

The juveniles, officers say, are believed to be connected to the previous calls at the residence as well as a Tuesday fight outside of Jamestown High School.
