Fugitive Arrested In Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown woman wanted as a fugitive from justice was arrested just before midnight on Monday night.

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department were on patrol in the area of West Second and Cherry Streets when they spotted Sarah Johnson on foot.


The 44-year-old was known to have several warrants for her arrest from City of Jamestown Court and the Town of Ellicott Police Department.

Following a further investigation, it was found Johnson had several warrants for arrest in Warren County PA, Erie PA and Millcreek Township PA for retail theft.

Johnson was subsequently arrested and held at Jamestown City Jail as a fugitive from justice.
