JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A BBQ fundraiser for Jamestown’s Juneteenth Scholarship Fund is set for this Saturday.
The BBQ will feature a slew of different things to do, from a basket raffle, local vendors with beers and wine slushies, to of course food.
Tickets for the diner are $15 dollars each and include a half chicken, potato or macaroni salad, baked beans, and a roll.
Juenteenth Organizer Regina Brackman says that the proceeds from the event will go towards a scholarship fund and other Juneteenth celebrations.
“We’re doing a basket raffle, and a chicken barbeque, and lots of donations, a lot of people have given baskets,“ explained Brackman. “Just a great opportunity to get out again to just bring Juneteenth to the people. And this is truly a fundraiser where we intend to raise the funds we’re going to need to get to the scholarship.”
The event will take place this Saturday, April 29th from noon to 7 p.m. at the Morton Club in Jamestown.
