JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A new exhibit at the National Comedy Center was unveiled Thursday, honoring the main act of the 2023 Lucy Comedy Festival , Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias.

The display features the jersey that the comedian wore during his record breaking performance at Dodger Stadium in 2022.

“Fluffy” did tell the audience that the jersey still fits.

He was honored to be a part of the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, and to walk down the halls of the National Comedy Center.

“Just walking through here, I need more time to walk through here,” explained Iglesias. “I was rushed, I was rushed ‘gotta get to your thing, the reporters and pictures and shit.’ I definitely plan on coming back, and I definitely want to support this because this is incredible.”

“You hear about it, and you see the outside of the building and you’re like ok, well what are they going to have a couple pictures, maybe a t-shirt or something, we’ll see what happens. When I found out you guys had a concession stand I said no, this is legit. This is legit, they will feed you here, this is beautiful. I feel very honored that you guys have asked me to participate in this.”

“Yeah, it’s been 26 years, when I first started, I had hair, hope, happiness, a house, I had all those things, now we’re here, yeah. But no, thank you very, very much and I hope everybody continues to come out and support this because it’s incredible.”

Iglesias performed at the Northwest Arena for the first of two headline shows for the 2023 Lucille Ball Comedy Festival.
