
BUFFALO, NY [WNY NEWS NOW] – A 35-year-old man has pleaded guilty to distributing heroin and fentanyl leading to fatal overdoses of two individuals along with firearm possession charges.
In a significant development Steven Mojica Medina (35) has admitted his guilt before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara. Medina pleaded guilty to charges of possessing with intent to distribute as well as distributing a combination of heroin, fentanyl, and acetyl fentanyl which led to two fatal overdoses. In addition, he faced charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The potential penalties for these charges include a maximum prison term of 50 years and a fine amounting to $1,000,000. Sentencing is scheduled for December 11, 2023.
