(WNY News Now) – A 24-year-old Jamestown resident has been arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd and Aggravated Family Offense after violating a valid Order of Protection.

Jamestown – On September 6, 2023, at 10:04 am, officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a report of an Order of Protection violation at a south side address. Upon arriving at the scene, officers encountered Adrian Melo-Estrada and the protected victim. An investigation revealed the existence of a legally binding Order of Protection that prohibited Melo-Estrada from approaching the victim.

Without resistance, Melo-Estrada was taken into custody and subsequently transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He now faces charges of Criminal Contempt 2nd and Aggravated Family Offense due to his prior criminal history.

Currently, he is held in custody pending his arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
