(WNY News Now) – A Salamanca man was apprehended on 09/12/2023 at approximately 12:05 pm, following a traffic stop on Rte-219 N in Ellicottville, NY, in connection with a felony bench warrant issued by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

Salamanca – On the afternoon of September 12, 2023, law enforcement officers arrested DeWayne T. Solomon, aged 41, residing at 355 Rochester St Apt 3, Salamanca, NY 14779. The arrest occurred during a routine traffic stop on Rte-219 N in Ellicottville, NY, at around 12:05 PM. Mr. Solomon was taken into custody pursuant to a felony bench warrant issued by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

Following the arrest, Mr. Solomon was transported to Erie County and subsequently handed over to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. The specific details regarding the warrant were not disclosed at this time.
