(WNY News Now) – A six-month investigation into alleged fentanyl sales concluded with the execution of two search warrants on September 19th, involving multiple law enforcement agencies in Dunkirk and Fredonia.
Chautauqua County – In a joint operation involving the City of Dunkirk Police Department, Village of Fredonia Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and City of Jamestown Police Department, authorities executed search warrants at 775 Washington Ave. Apt. 1 in Dunkirk and 63 1/2 W. Main St. in Fredonia. The operation was the culmination of a comprehensive investigation into fentanyl distribution in the area.
During the searches, law enforcement officials discovered and confiscated 8.4 grams of fentanyl, along with an additional 395 doses of the substance. They also seized scales and packaging materials consistent with narcotics distribution, as well as two loaded 9mm handguns and $800.00 in U.S. currency.
Two individuals were arrested as a result of the operation. Zacre T. Jasinski faces charges including two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree. Jeron C. Douglas was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree.
Zacre T. Jasinski was transported to the Dunkirk Police Department for arraignment in City Court, while Jeron C. Douglas was taken to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for CAP arraignment.
