(WNY News Now) – In the early hours of December 22, 2023, a 25-year-old resident of Jamestown, NY, found himself in legal trouble when officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit discovered him riding a bicycle without lights in the middle of the roadway at 300 E 3rd St.

During the routine street check around 1:40 am, officers detained Jacob C. Sandy, 25, for further investigation. It was revealed that he had allegedly attempted to conceal his identity by providing his brother’s name. Consequently, Sandy now faces charges of Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree.

He was promptly arrested and is currently held in Jamestown City Jail, awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
