(WNY News Now) – A 50-year-old Yorkshire, NY resident, was apprehended on December 27, 2023, for criminal possession of a controlled substance during a routine traffic stop at Block Rd. @ Worden Rd. in Yorkshire.
Town of Yorkshire – At around 8:25 PM, David L. Smith, 50, was taken into custody as a passenger during a traffic stop. Following the arrest, he was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Subsequently, Smith was moved to the Town of Yorkshire Court for arraignment, where he faced charges under PL220.16 – 7.
The arraignment took place on December 28, 2023, and Smith was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail, awaiting further court proceedings.
