(WNY News Now) – Buffalo, NY – The National Weather Service (NWS) Buffalo NY has issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective from January 11, 2:21 AM EST until 10:00 PM EST, predicting additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches across Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie counties.

The advisory highlights the potential for slippery road conditions, particularly in the higher terrains of Boston Hills, western Wyoming County, and northern Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. The lake effect snow band is expected to shift north of the advisory area late morning, returning southward in the late afternoon and evening. Commuters are urged to exercise caution, as these hazardous conditions may impact both morning and evening travel. The NWS advises drivers to slow down and submit snow reports through their website or social media channels.
