(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK  – The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County’s 4-H Youth Development Program announces its 10th annual fundraising dinner, now at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron, scheduled for Sunday, February 25, 2024.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County is thrilled to unveil the 10th edition of the Have a Heart for 4-H Green Tie Affair Dinner. The event, the organization’s primary fundraiser, is set to take place on February 25, 2024, at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron, offering a fresh and picturesque venue.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the 4-H Leadership adapted quickly, securing the new location and ensuring an extraordinary evening. The dinner, initiated in 2012 to restore program funding, has grown into a significant event supporting 4-H’s youth development programming.

Proceeds from the Green Tie Affair will fund 4-H programming throughout 2024, with a potential contribution to the 4-H Endowment Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. This fund, established in 2012, sustains long-term commitments to 4-H youth development.

For further details or ticket information, contact Cornell Cooperative Extension 4-H at chautauqua4h@cornell.edu or 716-665-9502 Ext 214. The event kicks off at 3:00 pm with a basket raffle and bake sale, followed by dinner at 5:00 pm and a pie auction.

This vital fundraiser aims to collect $25,000, supporting the approximately 300 youth benefiting from Chautauqua County’s year-round life-skills programming. Tickets, currently priced at $25.00, are available at the 4-H Office, with prices rising to $30.00 after February 16, 2024. Table sponsorships at $275.00 are also available.

Chautauqua County 4-H expresses gratitude for the community’s continuous support in fostering positive youth development. Monetary and basket raffle donations are being accepted at the 4-H Office. For more information, visit the official event page or call 716-664-9502 x214.
