Devin E. Haskell, an 18-year-old resident, was apprehended by 3rd Platoon officers on April 25, 2024, at 10:42 PM for attempting to break into a North Side residence, inflicting significant property damage, and making racially motivated threats.
In a troubling incident on April 25, 2024, at around 10:42 PM, Devin E. Haskell of Jamestown, aged 18, was apprehended by law enforcement while attempting to forcibly enter a residence on the North Side. The victim, reporting the ongoing burglary attempt to 911, described Haskell as making threats against their life while using racial slurs.
Responding swiftly, 3rd Platoon officers arrived at the scene, where they found Haskell still trying to break into the property. Haskell was promptly taken into custody. Following an investigation, it was discovered that Haskell, who had no prior connection to the victim, had caused over $1,500 in damage to the residence during his attempt to gain unlawful entry.
Haskell faces serious charges, including Attempted Burglary in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree, both felonies. Additionally, he is charged with Aggravated Harassment in the 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor, for his racially motivated threats against the victim. Haskell is currently held in Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
