On April 29th, 2024, two separate incidents occurred on Park Street Bridge involving a truck and a tractor-trailer, prompting police response and bridge inspection.
Syracuse Police responded to a collision involving a truck carrying a shipping container at 8:21 a.m. The driver escaped injury but faced multiple traffic-related charges. Structural integrity of the bridge remained unaffected.
Shortly after, at 8:55 a.m., a tractor-trailer struck the same bridge. Again, no injuries were reported, and the driver received citations. CSX representatives assessed the bridge for potential damage.
